INNER VISION

By Litany Burns

People often ask friends, colleagues, co-workers, intimate partners, family members of mine, “What’s it like to know or live with a psychic?”  They laugh and rolls their eyes and often say, “Well, of course you can’t lie.” Even though I’m not paying attention to every single word they say. “She always seems to know when things are going to happen.” If that were constantly true, I’d probably own a string of Caribbean islands by now. “She just has that look in her eyes, as if she’s hearing something or seeing something important.” True, but mostly, I’m just trying to sort through the white noise of life to intuitively listen…

Not to demean my professional channeling and clairvoyant abilities, I consistently use them with great respect and integrity to help people grow and develop their own intuition every day -

But no one ever asks me, “What’s it like to be a psychic living with the day - to - day problems of people you love, growing up in the chaos of a family, and having to deal with so many diverse personalities every day?”  Being psychic, I do know when people are in denial and avoiding themselves, I can sense when they’re nervous or scared, I feel their unhappiness, I get confused by their turmoil, and don’t understand why they just don’t do what’s right for them.

It’s kind of like being a modern day ‘Casper the Friendly Ghost’, only I’m not a ghost. I care, I feel, I have my meltdowns like anyone else. The difference is that I see more, hear more, and feel more than most people. So I’ve learned to be a keen observer, balance emotions inside myself, maintain natural boundaries, and allow people to make their own mistakes without trying to throw a momentary life preserver to save them from themselves.

It’s not easy being green in beige world, but it’s also incredibly fulfilling, insightful and exciting. I’ve been doing it for so long, I don’t know how else to function here … but then, we’re all just visiting this planet, aren’t we?

 FORECAST:

The chill in the air is not about the external climate, but the internal one going on inside people right now. It will surprise you to think you know certain people and now find that it’s difficult or tiring to communicate with them on any level. And other people, who you may have disregarded or just met, appear to understand and delve deeper in conversation and caring than you ever could imagine. What’s going on? Huge change. From the climate of the country, to the climate of the world, to the climate in your own home… things are shifting rapidly. Let go of your mental climate control button and adapt, be flexible, and rely on your own intuitive senses to move beyond what might have felt ‘safe’ to you before. Act, rather than react to what you feel and don’t look back. What’s past is past, and the way you’ve dealt with your past is not your future behavior… Look ahead - there are new options, new people, and new horizons to seek. Get moving. The time is at hand.
